All our Rattan/Ata bags are hand woven out of high qaulity raw Ata grass from Bali and 100% handmade by our talented local artisans which means no two pieces will be the same. Each bag has a unique character and truly one of a kind.

Did you know it takes about 3 weeks to make one Rattan/Ata bag? That's because each  of our Rattan/Ata bags are handcrafted from start to finish by local artisans in Bali.

After a bag is created unique patterns by braiding the stems of Ata grass, dried in the sun for several days. And then they are toasted in a coconut fire to arrive at it final beautiful golden colour and strengthens the Rattan/Ata. Last, the genuine leather strap and buckle or bow closure are attached and then traditional Balinese Batik fabric is sewn to the interior.
